Account Information: When you register, we collect your email address, password (encrypted), and full name.

Member Verification: For active members, we collect your Global ID number to verify membership status. For retirees, we collect your full name, email, last employer, and approximate retirement year for admin verification.

Push Notification Data: If you opt in, we store a device token to send you push notifications about announcements, events, and reminders.

Content You Submit: This includes questions you ask, event RSVPs, gate collection requests, committee interest submissions, and any photos or files you upload.

Usage Data: We may collect analytics data about how you interact with the App to improve its functionality.

3. How We Use Your Information

To verify your membership status and grant appropriate access
To send you announcements, event reminders, and push notifications
To manage event RSVPs and gate collection requests
To connect you with committee leadership based on your interests
To display member-only content such as contracts, meeting minutes, and leadership contacts
To maintain the security and integrity of the member portal

4. Who Can See Your Information

Your personal information is visible to:

You: Your own account and profile details
Admins: Union administrators who manage membership, approvals, and content
Leaders: Elected leaders who may view committee interests and gate collection requests relevant to their role

We do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties or outside organizations.

5. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your data, including encrypted password storage, role-based access controls, and secure authentication. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Push Notifications

Push notifications are optional. You must explicitly opt in to receive them, and you can disable them at any time through the App or your device settings. We use Firebase Cloud Messaging to deliver notifications.

7. Account Deletion

8. Children's Privacy

The App is intended for use by verified union members and retirees. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or via email. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
